3Curriculum Aims
To educate Pakistanis to be
- Seekers of truth and knowledge who can apply
- both for the progress of society
- Creative, constructive, communicative and
- reflective individuals
- Disciplined, productive, moderate and enlightened
citizens
- Capable of effectively participating in the
highly competitive global, knowledge-based
economy and the information age citizens
committed to creating a just civil society that
respects diversity of views, beliefs and faiths.
4Highlights of New Scheme of Studies
- Islamiat will be taught as an integrated
subject in Classes I-II, and as a separate
full-fledged subject from Class III to Class XII.
- Ethics/Morality will be taught to non-Muslim
students in lieu of Islamiat. - Advanced Islamic Studies will be offered in
Classes IX-X and XI-XII as an elective subject in
Humanities Group. - General Science will be compulsory from Classes
IV-VIII.
5- Pakistan Studies will be compulsory upto Class-X
and Advance Pakistan Studies will be offered as
Elective subject for Class-XI XII. - History and geography will be taught as
compulsory subjects in Classes VI-VIII. The
curriculum will include History of the
sub-continent up to the creation of Pakistan in
1947. - Teaching of Computer Literacy (applied / hands
on) will be compulsory for Classes VI-VIII after
3 years. - Computer Science will be an elective subject
in Classes IX-X and will be offered as a Group in
Class XI-XII.
6- Elective subjects for Humanities Group will be
offered in combinations of three related subjects
for Classes IX-X and XI-XII. - Foreign Students may opt History and Geography of
Pakistan in lieu of Urdu Compulsory. - Medical Technology Group (six technologies) at
Classes XI and XII introduced. - After 5 years, Science and Mathematics will be
taught in English in all schools.
7SCHEME OF STUDIES Early Childhood Education
- Age 4/5, Full day nursery of scholars from 0830
to 1230 - Language Experience Block (Native
language/Urdu/English) - Phonics Alphabets
- Rhymes Single syllable words
- Conversation in simple sentences
- Written work (Recording oral language)
- Basic numeracy, number line
- Heritage Block
- Folk tales from regional, national and Islamic
sources - Heroes of our History and contemporary world
- Creative Arts and Drama
- Patriotism
- Shared cultural values and norms of conduct
- Environment Block
Each unit to combine interactive small group and
large group activities to build
age-appropriate knowledge, skills
and dispositions to become communicative,
creative and constructive members of society.
8SCHEME OF STUDIES GRADES I -II
- Continuous internal evaluation. No retention.
- Provinces may use provincial language as required.

- Standardized test in core subjects at the end of
Grade V for scholarship purpose at provincial /
district level according to national standards.

- level using national standards.
- PT daily for 15 Minutes.
