Thinking About Changing Your Packaging Color? Consider the Pros and Cons

Description:

Changing the color scheme of your custom mailer boxes wholesale is not a simple task. It could be a red, gray, yellow, green problem, or even a combination of these colors. There is no formula for determining whether you should change your product’s packaging or how you should change it. Determine the likely outcome of a color change for your product instead, and then put your ideas to the test with mock-ups, surveys, and A/B testing. Rather than seeking a universally correct answer, focus on finding the best solution for your product. – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Title: Thinking About Changing Your Packaging Color? Consider the Pros and Cons

1
Thinking About Changing Your Packaging Color?
Consider the Pros and Cons
2
When should you change the colors of your
Customized Rigid Box?
  • Whatever method you used to choose your original
packaging colors, you put a lot of care into it.
  • Maybe you used color psychology to create the
ideal package for a niche market. Alternatively,
you could have asked your pals what they thought
would look nice. Maybe you choose a color scheme
that has a special meaning for you. Or you did
not give it much thought and chose color at
    random.
  • But, if you are thinking of changing the colors
of your package, keep in mind that you are not
making something new. So you are messing with
    something that already exists.

3
Ask yourself two questions as you choose your new
colors
  • What packaging do your competitors use for
    their products?
  • Is the combination you are contemplating being
    used by other businesses?
  • This is not a problem if another company that
utilizes this palette is small, niche, and in a
completely different industry. If the colors you
want are part of an iconic national brand, use a
different palette, so you do not appear to be
copying or attempting to emulate that brand.
  • Choosing a pink, orange, and white color scheme,
for example, will make your box look like it
    comes from Dunkin Donuts.

4
It is costly to rebrand
  • Designers are not cheap, it is costly to
research, and it is not inexpensive to build a
    brand.
  • This is not to say you should not change your
packaging colors, but you should consider the
financial implications. If your study indicates
that changing your packaging colors will not
affect your profits, now is not the time to do
it. If a large-scale makeover is too costly for
you to see a worthwhile return, discover a means
to make a smaller, less expensive improvement
    instead.

5
Do not forget to put your skills to the test!
  • Changing the color scheme of your custom mailer
boxes wholesale is not a simple task. It could be
a red, gray, yellow, green problem, or even a
combination of these colors. There is no formula
for determining whether you should change your
products packaging or how you should change it.
Determine the likely outcome of a color change
for your product instead, and then put your ideas
to the test with mock-ups, surveys, and A/B
testing. Rather than seeking a universally
correct answer, focus on finding the best
    solution for your product.
