Khaja Bandanawaz University
Khaja Bandanawaz University (KBN) is a private
university in the city of Kalaburagi or Gulbarga
in Karnataka. The university was recently
established in 2018 by the Khaja Bandanawaz
Educational Society.

• The university is named after a Sufi saint named
  Bande Nawaz. Remaining true to its Sufi morals,
  the Khaja Bandanawaz University roots harmony,
  peace, equality, love and truthfulness.

HISTORY
The Khaja Education Society dates to 1958 and got
registered in 1966 under the Mysore Societys
Registration Act of 1960. It was initially
established with the idea of nurturing the
educational aspirations of Muslims. It used to
impart philanthropic studies, which imparted a
deep knowledge into Islamic and Arabic
religions. However, later, the society expanded
its wings irrespective of caste, religion, and
creed. It was the dream of Janab Dr Syed Shah
Khusro Hussaini, along with the constant efforts
of the members of the society to build it into a
university. Soon enough, the community
collectively, under the leadership of Dr. Syed,
got the bills and acts passed. Thus, on 27th
August 2018, the Khaja Bandanawaz University was
formed under the Khaja Bandanawaz University Act
of 2018. Today, the Khaja Bandanawaz Society
hosts more than 24 institutions, schools of
primary to higher education, and a university in
Kalaburagi.

offers a vast spectrum of courses pertaining to
all fields. To number them, the university offers
over 63 courses in 9 streams. As for Science,
the universitys most famous department is the
Khaja Bandanawaz Institute of Medical Sciences.
This institute of medical sciences proffers MBBS
along with MS and MD in almost all the
categories. KBN University is also well-known for
its courses (both bachelors and masters) in
the para-medical sciences. Another most famous
department of KBN is Khaja Bandanawaz College of
Engineering and Technology. Dispensing B.Tech,
M.Tech, and Ph.D. in engineering, KBN is
well-known for some of the engineerings most
unique courses, especially in masters and Ph.D.
for example, M.Tech Geo-Informatics, Ph.D.
Engineering Physics etc. Apart from this, KBN

particulars like Biotechnology, Chemistry,

the university also has a Ph.D. course in
Zoology. Moving onto Commerce, KBN holds a
regular graduation degree B.Com for the

concerned, KBN University extends to a common BA

Communication, Psychology, Womens Studies,

Bandanawaz Universitys department of languages

In terms of infrastructure, KBN University has
all essential facilities that enable comfortable
learning on the campus. The campus showcases

the boundaries of the courses offered by KBN
