Striving For Excellence In This World And
Hereafter
2
  • A Muslim school is an Islamic secondary school
that focuses on the regular curriculum subjects
    and Islamic studies.
  • These schools are like any other traditional
schools where students are engaged and challenged
    to excel in their learnings.
  • Students get equal opportunities to develop their
    skills and increase their knowledge.

3
  • The Muslim schools emphasize skills required for
life and work and address the needs of individual
Muslim students and the multicultural communities
    in which they live.
  • These schools have the state-of-the-art
facilities and even boarding facilities for boys
    and girls.
  • In the UK, nearly 50 of the British Muslims opt
for Muslim schools or Islamic boarding schools to
choose how the education will help them in their
    adult lives.

4
  • The Muslim schools follow similar procedures for
    admission to the students.
  • They have staff and core subject teachers who are
experts in their field of expertise.
  • Admission to Muslim schools is considered quite
competitive as students have to take an entrance
    test.

5
  • Sharia Laws For   Progressive Values
  • The Islamic boarding schools are like any other
secular boarding school except that they follow
strict rules as per sharia laws.

6
  • Some of these boarding schools are like the
Madrasas (Arabic word for Islamic school).
  • The curriculum is slightly different from that of
    the regular British Muslim schools.
  • The Islamic boarding schools emphasize on
    learning the Arabic language.

7
  • From reciting and understanding the Quran, all
aspects of the Islamic teachings, reading about
Hadiths, Islamic history, and Islamic laws are
    taught in the schools.
  • The students have to pray five times a day as per
the Islamic laws, and for this, a typical day
starts at 4 am for the students.

8
  • The Islamic schools teach the regular subjects,
    but just about the basics.
  • Apart from allotting time for learning Arabic,
students are taught different subjects like
    mathematics, science, and computer technology.
  • The Islamic schools emphasize its students to
pass their GCSE quickly and to focus intensively
    on Islamic studies.

9
  •  Here the students have no chance of a retake in
regular subjects if they fail it is over in that
    subject.
  • Most of the teachers in Islamic boarding
schools are from the subcontinent and speak
    English, Urdu, and Arabic.
  • The boarding schools usually have Pakistani
cooks, so the food here is considered excellent
in terms of quality and taste.

10
  • Rules are pretty strict in Islamic boarding
    schools.
  • The educational institutions follow rules that
are based on the Shariah laws.

11
  • No music, radios, restricted mobile, Television,
and internet use, and girls dress code included
no earring Jeans without the Jilbab. (A loose fit
    overcoat).
  • Last but not the least, debates over faith-based
schools have been growing in recent years as a
greater number of Islamic schools are operating
    in The West.

12
  • Studies have been conducted to find the impact of
religious studies on social cohesion among
    students of multicultural faith.
  • However, contrary to popular opinions, it was
found that most of the Islamic schools could
facilitate the participation of Muslims in the
mainstream institutions by equipping them with
    worldly knowledge.
