• Hard coating is process by which the surface of
  the metal is hardened. This process was invented
  in Russia for the surface of the space crafts. In
  this process, high intensity current is passed
  through the electrolytic solution. This forms a
  thick layer of oxide on the metal surface. This
  process turns metal surface harder than steel.
