travelling to Seychelles is what money to take

Seychelles local currency is called Seychelles
rupees. Its international code is SCR. An
interesting fact Seychelles is the smallest
country to have an independent monetary
policy. There are banknotes for 10, 25, 50, 100
and 500 rupees.

You can't acquire the local currency before
you arrive in Seychelles. But you can pay in
Euro, USD and GBP.  If exchanging currencies, do
it at a bank, authorized money dealers, or with
your hotel cashier.

Major credit cards, including Visa and
MasterCard, are accepted in most hotels,
restaurants and tourist shops. The four main
banks are Barclays Bank, Seychelles Savings Bank,
Nouvobanq and Mauritius Commercial Bank
(MCB).  You'll find ATMs on Mahé, Praslin and
LaDigue.

There is no limit on how much foreign currency
you can bring in to the Seychelles. And there is
also no limit on the amount of foreign currency
that can be taken out of the Seychelles. The
local currency does have a Rs2000 limit on the
amount that can be brought in or taken out of the
country.
