  • Media of India is made up of several types of
    Indian media television, radio, movies,
    newspapers, magazines and Internet-based
    websites. Many of the media are controlled by
    large for-profit companies that generate
    advertising revenue, subscriptions and the sale
    of copyrighted material. India also has a strong
    music and film industry. With more than 70,000
    newspapers and more than 1,600 satellite
    channels, India is the largest newspaper market
    in the world, with more than 100 million copies
    sold daily.
