Roof Corner Flashing Sheet and its Types
2
Roof flashing strategy is utilized to keep water
spillage from the rooftop. It is a sheet made of
metal which requires establishment at rooftop
valleys/canal, smokestacks, sky facing windows,
edges, rooftop divider crossing points of the
rooftop. The rooftop blazing is generally
produced using rust proof metals like stirred
steel, aluminum or copper. It might be created
from plastics, material felts, or elastic and so
on.
3
Galvanized sheet metal rooftop flashing is more
in demand for roof flashing while Aluminum and
Copper rooftop flashings are utilized where cost
of upkeep matters. Copper is the most strong
however it is exorbitant and has preferences over
alternative metals as the sides of copper can be
bound to make the joints watertight. Roof
Flashing comes in several types, what needs to be
used depends on your need and requirement of the
infrastructure. Listed below are some types of
Roof Corner Flashing Sheet
4
Roof Flashing Types Step Flashing The place
where slanted roof meets a masonry wall is
exactly where step flashing is used. To keep
spillage from the sides of dividers, sky facing
windows, fireplace, step flashing is utilized.
These flashings are introduced at right edge,
associated the rooftop tops and dividers of the
structure. The vertical edge of flashings is
typically installed into the divider so that the
water can't spill after it.
5
Continuous Flashing This flashing is connected
to ensure the joints of vertical divider and
slanted rooftop. The rainwater from the rooftop
inclination empties out of the building yet some
amount of water breaks through the joints of
rooftop and divider making spillage. To maintain
a strategic distance from the spillage at the
edge of vertical divider and rooftop, nonstop
flashing  is utilized.
6
Chimney flashing Chimney Flashing is
introduced around the lower areas of the chimney
to shield house from spillage. This is settled
where dividers of stack lay on rooftop shingles.
It has been arranged in two sections i.e. cap and
base flashing.
Vent Pipe Flashing This type of flashing is
installed over the pipes and chimneys. The basic
shape is conical with a little flange at the
lower end and when the roofing is installed it
works with the shingles
7
Valley Flashing To protect any leakage from roof,
roof flashing is done at the joints. To drain out
the water that collects through any means a
channel is provided on the supports. Drip Edges
Flashing This flashing avoids water drainage
along the edges of rakes and roof. Trickle edge
flashing is utilized under material felt
contiguous overhang and over material felt
adjoining rakes
