complementary route of transport for the Caspian
crude to Europe and world energy markets
Caspian Crude Oil
- high quality
- high processing yields
- processing cost efficiency
Advantages
Difficulties
- Transfer from the production area to the consumer
markets (refineries) - limited capacity of the available transportation
routes (Turkish Straits)
11- The Project proposes
- a variant that avoids the Turkish Straits, being
a viable alternative for the crude oil transit to
the Mediterranean Sea - diversifying the supply possibilities for Europe.
12It represents a complementary supply route for
the European markets along with BTC pipeline, the
DRUZBHA system and the North Sea supply system
13It represents the shortest route from the Caspian
Region to the European markets, including Germany
and Austria - connection in Trieste
