Spirit-Filled/Baptism of the Holy Spirit

• Acts 814-17 When the apostles in Jerusalem
  heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God,
  they sent Peter and John to them. When they
  arrived, they prayed for them that they might
  receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit
  had not yet come upon any of them they had
  simply been baptized into the name of the Lord
  Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their hands on
  them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

The Words of John the Baptist

• Jesus as BAPTIZER in the Holy Spirit And so
  John came, baptizing in the desert region and
  preaching a baptism of repentance for the
  forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside
  and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him.
  Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him
  in the Jordan River. John wore clothing made of
  camel's hair, with a leather belt around his
  waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And
  this was his message "After me will come one
  more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals
  I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I
  baptize you with water, but he will baptize you
  with the Holy Spirit." Mark 14-8

Jesus Final Instructions Acts 11-5

• In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all
  that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day
  he was taken up to heaven, after giving
  instructions through the Holy Spirit to the
  apostles he had chosen. After his suffering, he
  showed himself to these men and gave many
  convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared
  to them over a period of forty days and spoke
  about the kingdom of God. On one occasion, while
  he was eating with them, he gave them this
  command "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for
  the gift my Father promised, which you have heard
  me speak about. For John baptized with water, but
  in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy
  Spirit."

Jesus Final Instructions Luke 2445-49

• Then he opened their minds so they could
  understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is
  what is written The Christ will suffer and rise
  from the dead on the third day, and repentance
  and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his
  name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You
  are witnesses of these things. I am going to send
  you what my Father has promised but stay in the
  city until you have been clothed with power from
  on high."

Acts 1818-26

• After spending some time in Antioch, Paul set
  out from there and traveled from place to place
  throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia,
  strengthening all the disciples. Meanwhile a Jew
  named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to
  Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough
  knowledge of the Scriptures. He had been
  instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke
  with great fervor and taught about Jesus
  accurately, though he knew only the baptism of
  John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue.
  When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited
  him to their home and explained to him the way of
  God more adequately.

Acts 191-4

• While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road
  through the interior and arrived at Ephesus.
  There he found some disciples and asked them,
  "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you
  believed?"
• They answered, "No, we have not even heard that
  there is a Holy Spirit."
• So Paul asked, Then what baptism did you
  receive?"
• "John's baptism," they replied.
• Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of
  repentance. He told the people to believe in the
  one coming after him, that is, in Jesus."
