What are these? -Zechariah

• The Lord has been very angry with your fathers
  (Zech 12).
• they shall become My people. And I will dwell
  in your midst (Zech 211).
• My Servant, the Branch (Zech 38).
• Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit
  (Zech 46).

What do we rely on?

• The bailouts of 2008-2009
• We rely on government.
• The billions spent on self-help
• We rely on feeling good.
• The bombardment of pharmaceuticals
• We rely on medicines.
• What will be the difference?
• For who has despised the day of small things
  (Zech 410)?

Not by might

• Might not by strength, ability, efficiency,
  wealth, force, or army.
• Mistake of our Might
• They shall besiege you at all your gates until
  your high and fortified walls, in which you
  trust, come down throughout all your land and
  they shall besiege you at all your gates
  throughout all your land which the Lord your God
  has given you (Deut 2852).

Nor by power

• Power not by human strength, strength of
  angels, strength of animals, strength of wealth.
  
• Power of a Perception
• Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son
  of man, in whom there is no help (Psalm 1463).
• Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and
  rely on horses, who trust in chariots because
  they are many, and in horsemen because they are
  very strong, but who do not look to the Holy One
  of Israel (Isaiah 311).

but by My Spirit

• the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 228).
• For to be carnally minded is death, but to be
  spiritually minded is life and peace (Rom 86).
  
• But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,
  if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now
  if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he
  is not His (Rom 89).

but by My Spirit Our Treasure

• But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,
  that the excellence of the power may be of God
  and not of us (II Cor 47)

but by My Spirit Our Trust

• We are hard pressed on every side, yet not
  crushed we are perplexed, but not in despair
  persecuted, but not forsaken struck down, but
  not destroyed always carrying about in the body
  the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of
  Jesus also may be manifested in our body (II Cor
  48-10).

but by My SpiritOur Triumph

• For our light affliction which is but for a
  moment, is working for us a far more exceeding
  and eternal weight of glory (II Corinthians
  417-18).

• They will call on My name, and I will answer
  them. I will say, This is My people and each
  one will say, The Lord is my God (Zechariah
  139).
