  • B.A. in Psychology
  • Presently Enrolled in the Master in Education
    with Certification in Special Education program

Curriculum Goals
  • A full-time Multiple Disabilities support
    classroom that focuses on life skills, vocational
    skills, communication and pro-social behaviors in
    order to prepare the student to have a successful
    transition into adulthood
  • The Callier-Azusa Scale will be administered
    yearly along with any other state mandated test

Daily Lesson Plan
  • 845-915 Homeroom
  • 915-1000 Pre-Vocational
  • 1000-1030 Snack Clean-Up
  • 1030-1130 Fine Motor/ Arts-n-Crafts
  • 1130-1200 Lunch
  • 1200-1230 Toileting Hygiene
  • 1230-130 Problem Solving Skills
  • 130-215 Specials (Gym, Art or Music)
  • 215-250 Leisure Skills, Clean-Up Dismissal

How are Grades Calculated
  • Through trial and error a percentage is
    calculated on a daily basis
  • At the end of the semester, the percentages are
    averaged and compared to standard percentage
  • Grades are Mastered or percentage is given

Communication Methods
  • Sign Language
  • Verbal accompanied
  • w/ modeling

Classroom Rules
  • Respect the teacher and the classroom aides
  • Respect each others space
  • Ask (sign) to use the bathroom
  • Keep your hands to yourself
  • Keep your clothes on
  • Be patient
