  • On menu bar, go to
  • Sites ? Manage Sites
  • Click on New ? Site
  • Click on the Advanced Tab
  • Click on Local Info in the Category Window

  • Local Site Definition local refers to your
    computer
  • Site name (i.e., your school website -- e.g.,
    Penn)
  • Local root folder
  • HDUsersYour NameDesktopPenn
  • NOTE Be sure to 1st create a folder on your
    Desktop labeled as your School
  • Default images folder (leave blank)
  • Links relative to Document (click on)
  • HTTP address (leave blank)
  • Enable cache (click on)

Remote Site definition in DW
  • Remote Site Definition remote refers to the
    server.
  • Go to Category window and click Remote Info.
  • Go to Access click on FTP (in drop-down).
  • In FTP host, type in www.iccsd.k12.ia.us
  • In Host Directory, type in Schools/Your School
  • At Login, type in your webmaster login.
  • At Password, type in your webmaster pword.
  • Click Save.
  • Click Use Passive FTP
  • Click OK.
  • Click Done.

Useful Toolbars in DW
  • Go to View on Menu bar in DW.
  • Click on Toolbars.
  • Select / Check off Document, Standard,
    Coding.
  • These Toolbars give you almost a MS Office feel
    to DW when editing your web pages.
