    valuable NO COST assessments to small and
    mid-size manufactures nationwide.
  • Assess plant facilities on
  • energy efficiency improvements,
  • waste minimization and pollution prevention, and
  • productivity improvements
  • 26 Participating Schools with over 25 years of
    experience nationwide

  • Became an DOE-IAC Center in September 2000.
  • Team of Research Engineers and Scientists, and
    graduate and undergraduate students under the
    guidance of ME faculty.
  • Annual Assessment Done 25 per year.
  • Assessments performed in PA, NJ, DE, and MD.

Eligibility for Assessment
  • Companies with Standard Industrial Codes (SIC)
    20-39
  • Gross annual sales below 100 million a year.
  • Fewer than 500 employees at the plant site.
  • Annual energy bills more than 100,000 and less
    than 2 million.
  • No professional in-house staff to perform the
    assessment.

  • Companies receive a detailed and confidential
    report within 60 days of the Plant Visit.

  • Assessment recommendations (including detailed
    engineering calculations)
  • Implementation savings and estimated payback
    periods.
