Beginners Guide to Buying a Telescope
2
If you are interested in having a closer look at
the skies you may want to buy a telescope for
beginners. In most cases this can be a daunting
process for someone who has never dealt with
telescopes. One important factor you should
remember when buying a telescope for beginner to
remember is that they should basically ignore
magnification values the truth is that higher
magnification value should not necessarily mean a
better view. When buying a telescope you want
to make sure that it has a steady mount because
this is one feature that is as important as the
lens. However, you must also take note that some
inexpensive telescopes for beginners may not be
better than binoculars think carefully if you
want to save too much money.
3
An important feature to remember when buying a
telescope for beginners is that higher magnifying
power doesnt necessarily equal better quality.
The truth is that even the most professional
astronomer will almost always use lower
magnification most of the time very high
magnification tends to produce blurry images.
4
Additionally, you can simply increase
magnification by changing the eyepiece and this
should not be more than 50 times the size of the
original lens. For instance, if your telescope
has a lens that is 4 inches, you should use an
eyepiece that provides up to 200 times
magnification. Beware of telescope manufacturers
that claim to offer very high magnification my
offering false information to new users or using
eyepieces that magnify more than they really
should.
5
The mount of your telescope is another important
item that you should be careful about any shaky
mount will not let you see clearly and you could
easily give up on the item you may be trying to
observe. Always ensure that the mount is not too
small for the telescope you are purchasing or
else it will end up being a mere decoration any
small mount will become unstable and will not
help you at all.
6
Consumers who are buying telescopes for beginners
should actually test the quality of the mount by
making sure it stays still within five seconds of
being moved or repositioned. This is especially
important if you intend to use your telescope
outside since any cheap or unstable mount will
shake as a result of a breeze.
7
If you dont want to spend money to purchase a
high-quality telescope for beginners, you may
want to spend some little time checking out other
options instead of simply buying a cheap item
that may not be functional. There are binoculars
UK that can work better than some of the cheapest
telescopes that you may find on sale this is a
viable option for anyone who intends to buy a
cheap telescope for beginners or perhaps buying
used one.
