Charter Approval Voting Process
  • Use the current 51 Rule Voting Policy
  • This voting policy will be used as the default
    policy for voting on the Charter. If the Council
    is formalized we can address changing voting
    procedures and rules if needed for managing
    Council business.
  • For the meeting each institution is represented
    by one member and only gets one vote. A member
    that represents more than one institution still
    only gets one vote.
  • Approval requires 51 Yes votes of the total
    number of representatives at todays meeting.
  • Example 30 representatives are present at
    todays meeting, then we would need 16 Yes
    votes in order to approve the charter and move
    forward.
