Where did my 20 years go?

• I moved to Holland after Matriculation
• Studied Aerospace technology but concluded that I
  was not technical enough to continue
• Studied Business Economics in Rotterdam
• Joined Grace Dearborn Benelux operation (a US
  based Multi-national)
• Joined the European Supply Chain operation. Moved
  to Antwerp, Belgium
• After two major MAs a couple of restructuring
  Im currently working for the Global Procurement
  group, although the company is now called
  Hercules. My main activity is focusing on
  business process improvement projects

In 1998 I met my girlfriend, Caroline. We are
currently living close to Leuven in a small
village called Attenrode (with one church and a
half a bakery)

6 March 2003 we became the proud parents of a son
named Lennard Quinlin. Lennard is also the main
reason why I decided not to go gallivanting of to
South Africa to join the party

The three things that I miss most about South
Africa

• Mountains
• If you lived for 12 years below sea-level you can
  get over exited when you see a mountain
• Open Space
• Having lived in one of the most densely populated
  area in Europe I appreciate more than ever the
  open space that South Africa has to offer
• True Nature
• The 1st wild life that Ive encountered after
  living for 3 years in Holland was an ant walking
  across my kitchen table

The three key things that Belgiumhas to offer

• Historical Country
• Belgium has a lot of beautiful and historic towns
  to visit e.g. Antwerp, Bruges, Gent, Leuven, etc.
• Centrally located
• Within two hours you can reach most corners of
  Europe either by car, train or plane.
• Chocolate Beer
• Belgium is renowned in general for good food and
  drinks and in particular the quality and variety
  of chocolate and beer that it has to offer

• From a most likely cold and wet Belgium I wish
  you all a wonderful reunion party!
• As I can not be there in person Ill be looking

• Since I left SA I have lived in different parts
  of Italy and have done many different jobs since,
  for what I studied, Industrial design is a
  difficult job to get started without money!
• I am now living in Turin, have a wonderful
  partner who is a researcher in nuclear physics
  and father of little Edoardo. We are always
  travellinf for fun and work well at enjoying
  life!!!
