Community College to observe classes in operation - Achieving the Dream funds provided 3 hours
released time for Ms. Brown to develop courses

- Final Exam average
- 93 compared to 75 for traditional course
- These students were very motivated to pass the
course. Most students said they learned a lot in
the course, they would take a similar course
again, and they would recommend it to a friend.
13Student Outcomes
- Summer 2006, MTH 3 Algebra 1
- 8 students (2 from MTH 2)
- 100 completion rate

had the opportunity to take a similar Fast- Track
Course again that they would probably take it or
definitely take it.

15Instructors Comment
- I deeply appreciate Carolyn Reynolds, the MECC
Administration, and the AtD Committee and Staff
for allowing me to develop and offer these
courses. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching both of
these classes. Several students commented that
when I presented a topic on the board, they
thought, Ah ha, I remember this now. I hope
these courses will continue to be offered at
MECC.
