Where does PAHO stand on the MDGs?

• Emphasize the equity challenge,
• Going beyond awareness and advocacy to
  ownership and critical intervention at
  the local level
• Shift from focusing on poor countries to poor
  peoples
• Where inequity and poverty are most frankly
  expressed.
• Concentrate efforts on the most vulnerable
  municipalities
• Agreement ECLAC/CELADE for sub national mappings.
• Work on all the MDGs from the health perspective,
  
• understanding the principle of indivisibility
  and synergy
• in community work.
