  become aware of its capabilities and options
• Because Elluminate Live supports various modes of

  easy to use interface, many instructors are
  exploring new ways to interact with their students

• Many faculty hold virtual office hours,
  interacting in real-time with students regarding
  assignments, assessments and present just-in-time
  course material to groups of students concurrently

• Access to to colleagues and experts in the field
  for collaborative work, presentations and
  demonstrations has been a major buy in for most
  users
• This convenience allows for far more
  collaboration and far less investment in
  time/travel

Tutoring Services

• The Writing Center (student peer tutoring for
  cross-curriculum writing) has employed the usage
  of Elluminate for the past semester
• Student clients have been commenting that this
  new service allows for far more flexibility in
  learning and allows for distant students to
  receive the same service(s) that local on-campus
  students receive

Providing Distant Support and Consultation

• Application sharing is a feature that WCUs CMS
  (Course Management System) team utilizes to
  support its clients (faculty, staff and
  students)
• The use of Elluminate in course design
  consultations as well as dynamic technical
  support sessions has been an invaluable tool for
  the support of online teaching and learning

Inclement Weather Planning

• Many faculty have either began to utilize or are
  planning to utilize Elluminate as a tool to help
  extend the classroom for courses that meet
  face-to-face during inclement weather

Training

• Academia does not always fit a traditional
  business hours model, so the Faculty Center at
  WCU has began using Elluminate as a tool to
  deliver technical training and consultation to
  faculty, staff and students
• This is achieved with a blended approach of
  presentation, demonstration, hands on activities
  and finally participant assessment

Summary

• WCUs faculty, staff and administrators continue
  to be amazed and pleased with Elluminates
  ability to enable people to overcome time and
  distance, and collaborate in meaningful and
  effective ways
• We believe that Elluminate has helped us improve
  communication while reducing cost
