number of difficult words by total words)

    of difficult words
  • 8. Multiply the result by 0.4

instead of 148 and lost 4 million
  • NFL Player of the year, Brett Favre received an
    award for Brett Farve

Proofreading
  • Proofreading can be both potentially
    embarrassing and incredibly expensive

13
Systematic Procedures For Proofreading
  • Must be done several times
  • Using standard proofreading marks helps put ease
    on the process

14
1- Use the Spell Check
  • If the computer cannot find the word, consult a
    dictionary

15
2- Print a Draft
  • It is easier to find errors on paper than on the
    computer

  • Organization-is the idea of the document well
    organized?
