  • Army reported 80-85,000 displaced but they have

  • Out of total 500,000 population, it is estimated
    that 75,000 people have been displaced in Kech
  • Most affected population are 14 villages upstream
    of and 8 villages downstream from Mirani Dam
  • Population is afraid to return back to their
    places of origin
  • Army plans to settle the population in tents
    until they return

  • Timely relief distribution to 75,000 people for
    2-3months
  • Some villages were completely wiped out, other
    lost up to 80 of the houses
  • 2000 tents distributed, 3000 in pipeline
  • Recovery food assistance through food for work
  • Prioritize treatment for water-borne diseases
  • Rehabilitate medical facilities as soon as
    possible
  • Water schemes in Turbat need to be rehabilitated
    urgently

  • The military commander estimated that 95,000
    people are displaced (DCO figures indicate 50,500
    displaced).
  • Over 6,000 families rely on helicopter airdrops
    for assistance.
  • 971 tents, 92 tons of food, water and health
    services have been provided to the affected
    population

  • Shelter is top priority
  • Food and clean drinking water also critical
    followed by essential medicines.
  • Heavy road clearance and rehabilitation machinery
    are required immediately for restoring
    infrastructure and access, including roads to
    badly damaged Union Councils.

Jaffarabad - Bolchistan
  • Summary
  • Affected population as high as 200,000 people .
  • 90 of houses destroyed in UC Mitri, Gandakha and
    the southern part of Usta Mohammad Tehsil.
  • 2000 tents distributed. Total 373.6 tonnes of
    relief support provided
  • Due to the flooding, an unknown number of people
    have been displaced. Many are currently situated
    on the bank of Bagh Head.
  • Water and food is high priority, closely followed
    by essential medicines.

Sibi - Bolchistan
  • Summary
  • District Sibi did not suffer much human and
    financial losses.
  • Machinery especially bulldozers should be
    deployed to stop further erosion of the soil,
    and increase the width of embedment immediately
    to stop the further damage to the head works.
  • With the involvement of the communities and local
    government the Head works should be reconstructed
    accordingly

Jhal Magsi - Bolchistan
  • Summary Quetta Road Team (01)
  • About 4000-5000 households have been badly hit
  • IDPs are facing severe shortage of food items
    and people are using contaminated drinking water
    from ponds and open flood channels as the water
    supply set-ups being damages are non-functional.

Bolan - Bolchistan
  • Summary Quetta Road Team (01)
  • As per the govt estimates over 70,000 people have
    become homeless, and many of them displaced to
    safer places
  • According Asst. Relief Commissioner around 7,000
    houses demaged and 4,000 completely destroyed.
  • The floods badly damaged agriculture land (around
    10,000 acres), irrigation system, livestock (over
    30,000 animals killed), grain stock and household
    items in the affected areas.
  • The most urgent need identified temporary shelter
  • Water and food is high priority, closely followed
    by essential medicines.
