Student Behaviors
  • Be prompt

  • Be prepared
  • Have materials with you and know due dates. If I
have to supply you with missing materials, they
    will cost participation points.
  • Be a polite and positive participant
  • Speak in turn in a normal tone of voice, and
    listen attentively.
  • Be productive
  • Turn in work on time, and always do your best.
  • Be a problem solver
  • Correct problems quickly and peacefully before
    they escalate.

3
Show Respect
  • Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and
    practice strong moral values.
  • Cheating/Plagiarism Policy
  • Do not use profanity.
  • Treat all members of the school community and all
    visitors with politeness and respect.
  • Honor the ideas and opinions of others.
  • Offer to help.
  • Be responsible with property and belongings.
  • Your cooperation allows us to do fun
interesting things. The opposite will prevent us
    from doing these things.

4
Responsibility for Coursework
  • Bring notebook, memory stick (1 Gb), calculator,
and appropriate writing tools to class.
  • Know due dates, and submit all coursework on
    time.
  • All assignments are posted on the board and on
the HAC (Home Access Center ESchool).
  • You will not pass this class if you do not do the
    work.

5
Promote Lifelong Learning
  • You can develop lifelong learning traits
  • By showing curiosity about human nature and how
    the world works.
  • By seeking and valuing diversity.
  • By persisting in seeking out new solutions.
  • By using your unique talents and intelligence to
    promote positive change.
  • By learning and applying technology tools to
    solve problems.

6
Policies
  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the
    classroom.
  • Please be in your seat and quiet when the bell
rings, as class begins at that time.
  • Late Work Generally (unless otherwise determined
by the instructor) late work will be assessed a
    10, per day penalty.
  • Absences
  • Ask team members or a classmate first for
    assignments.
  • Work missed due to legal absence must be
submitted within 5 days of the absence
  • Generally any multimedia lessons (PowerPoint)
will be available on the classroom computers for
students to review at a later date.
  • As long as students make an effort to take notes
during lectures, PowerPoint handouts will be
    available if they request them.

7
  • Student safety is paramount. Any student
jeopardizing the safety of themselves or others
    will be removed immediately.
  • Students who disrupt the learning process will be
    removed from class.
  • Students may retake any test twice and receive
the higher grade as long as
  • -This is not done during the students normal
    class
  • -This is done within 5 days of the original test
  • Journals are due every ten days. Correct grammar
    and punctuation are expected.
  • Starting and Ending Dates MUST be accurate (even
if you are absent see 5)
  • Students are expected to obtain and complete any
work missed when they are absent.
  • Missing work counts as a zero and is averaged
into the students grade as such.
  • Students are expected to do quality work the
first time so extra credit work will be limited
to a maximum of 2 Technology Article Reviews per
quarter. These must be typed and agreed on in
advance by the instructor. All regular class
work must be submitted in order to do extra
    credit work.
  • During instructional lessons and periods students
may be given a participation grade. Each student
will start out with 60 points and 5 will be
subtracted each time the instructor has to ask
the student to be quiet or stop distracting the
    class.
