• The stomach acid breaks down the food.

Explain the process

• Chew the food
• Goes through the esophagus
• Stomach acid breaks down food
• Waste goes through the small intestine
• Blood takes the nutrients from the small
  intestine.
• Goes through large intestine
• Water is taken out through the blood at this
  point.

• The digestive system relies on the Circulatory
  system because the blood needs to deliver
