DQP into MyGrid

• Currently DQP
• is a generic service capable of querying over an
  arbitrary set of data sources and analysis
  services
• is a Grid Service
• More useful for myGrid if
• Becomes more specific and explicitly describable
  (I.e. advertise set of resources integrated,
  queries supported etc.)
• Wrapped as a Web Service

A new GUI client is being developed that can be
used to 1 import metadata on data sources and
web services 2 submit multiple query requests 3
save the query session as a DQPRequestDocument

1 - DQP Request document as a first-class entity
(I.e register/discover/use for query execution)
2 Generate a Web Service (I.e. generate code)
from a DQP RequestDoc., - WS should define a
method for each query - Compile, deploy and
register the WS to the registry

submit the document to a Generic (already
known) DQP WS Get the query results

Start calling methods of the Web Service. Each
method implements a canned query and will return
a query result

• DQP Web service can be called from a WF
• The DQP web service should transform the query
  result (which is DQP specific) into Partially
  ordered set format (I.e. Toms schema)
