The driver

• Grid Operations Center (GOC)/Knowledge-base
  Center will be ready for operation in 2007.
• A new building at the center of West Coast of
  Taiwan, with cost gt 11M
• Entirely dedicated to Grids, including RD,
  applications and services.
• The idea was conceived first at 1st PRAGMA.
• Living Grids as a target
• GOC itself as a smart building, with HPC
  facilities, TWAREN backbone facilities, advanced
  Studio-like Grid lab, digital cinema, advanced
  viz facilities, smart class rooms, integrated
  Access Grid facilities and Control and Monitoring
  room for Grids.
• Platforms for Grid applications will be
  sophisticated enough, they are tightly connected
  with peoples life.
• The platforms will be continuously maintained and
  advanced in GOC.
• Incubate New Applications.
