Individual Budget. She has used some of the money
to pay for Driving Lessons

money for a child or young person Adult Services
could commission services open to all ages There
are few if any examples of Independent Brokers
there is a huge capacity within the current
community landscape for brokerage type support
Jackie manages an Individual Budget for a young
person in Middlesborough

Challenge To maintain a level of in-house
provision in case of crisis and/or choice whilst
supporting the development of a diverse array of
support options
  • Linking with the DCSF Commissioning Support
    programme
  • Developing a small scale pilot with Shop4Support
    with an acknowledged potential
  • across Childrens Services

    such as Action for Children

  • 9 Aiming High Pathfinders
  • 44 live Individual Budgets including 3 for
    Children In Care (CIC) and the youngest person we
    know of who is 3 years old
