LCB test EM CAL de-integrated EM CAL shipped to NRL EM CAL arrives at NRL
5New TEM-PS test
- New TEM-PS was tested on EM CAL Mini-Tower
system on Friday, Sept. 26 - Test data collected before, during, and after
test is burned to CD-ROM and stored with work
order - NRL is studying test reports now (E. Grove)
- Basic results
- 15 increase in CAL pedestal width (I.e. noise)
- 0.6 increase in TKR threshold width (I.e. noise)
6Summary and Plans
- Overall, a highly successful test series!
- Mechanical and electrical integration procedures
developed and issues found - Test scripts exercised and developed
- Team building for integration and test
- Integration facility operations exercised and
developed - Data to be collected will meet the requirements
in the IT EM test plan - Need a EM2 test series in February time frame
mechanical, electrical, and software tests test
plan proposal in progress - Planning for EM2 tests should try to be as
conservative as possible, I.e. provide as much
test hardware as affordable and/or practical to
manufacture - Need to develop a well trained team of test
operators for flight
