Why Localize MDGs?

  reflect local realities

  across people and places may persist

  time-frames enable the civil society and local
  authority to monitor progress

  to achieve time-bound goals by 2015

  of inter-departmental activities within the city
  authority
• MDGs provide an entry point and a common platform
  for all civil society actors to engage in
  constructive relationships and collaboration with
  local authority
• MDG targets can be used for performance
  measurement
