Software Engineering
The Option III - Software Engineering Program is

Admission Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science,
    Natural Science, or a related field
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 in upper-division
    undergraduate
  • and any graduate coursework
  • Completion of the GRE test. Test scores may not
    be older then five years
  • Three letters of recommendation one of which
    must be
  • from your employer
  • A minimum of 18 months industry experience
  • Strong skills in programming languages such
  • as C and Java

International Student Admission Requirements
  • International applicants must
  • - Be employed full-time in industry while in the
    program
  • - Must be on a work Visa
  • - Must meet all of the UT admissions criteria
  • - Must submit all of the programs admissions
    materials to the department
  • - Must have at least 18 months industry
    experience and
  • - Must have a TOEFL score of 550 on paper test
    or 213 on the
  • computer assisted test.
  • - Scores may not be over two years old.
