- Large number of respondents indicate that they
would return to the City and recommend it to
others - The City of Tshwane rates equal to or better than
other major cities in South Africa and capital
cities elsewhere in the world - It is important to a large majority of
respondents that the City of Tshwane is the
capital city of South Africa - The people of Tshwane and the tourism
establishment staff in particular are generally
friendly and welcoming - For almost half the respondents it was their
first visit to the City - There were slightly more day visitors than
overnight visitors - Respondents came from all over the world

- From Field Worker Observations
- More foreign tourists during the week than over
weekends at attractions - Most of the tour buses visit all the major
attractions, i.e. Voortrekker Monument, Union
Buildings, Church Square, Kruger House - Very few tourists visit museums
- Tourists would like to enter the Union Buildings
