How We Can be Involved
  • DISCOVER YOUR PLACE OF LEADERSHIP
  • 1 Timothy 31
  • 1) Here is a trustworthy saying If anyone sets
his heart on being an overseer, he desires a
    noble task.

  • 2 Corinthians 418
  • 18) So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but
on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal.

18
1 John 215-17
  • 15) Do not love the world or anything in the
world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the
    Father is not in him.
  • 16) For everything in the world--the cravings of
sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting
of what he has and does--comes not from the
    Father but from the world.
  • 17) The world and its desires pass away, but the
man who does the will of God lives forever.

1 Timothy 32-7
  • Now the overseer must be above reproach,
the husband of but one wife, temperate,
    self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to
teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but
gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He
must manage his own family well and see that his
children obey him with proper respect. (If anyone
does not know how to manage his own family, how
can he take care of God's church?) He must not be
a recent convert, or he may become conceited and
fall under the same judgment as the devil. He
must also have a good reputation with outsiders,
so that he will not fall into disgrace and into
    the devil's trap.

21
1 Corinthians1558
  • 58) Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let
nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to
the work of the Lord, because you know that your
labor in the Lord is not in vain.
