• A noun, pronoun, or adjective that provides
  information about the subject when a linking verb
  is used.

• Predicate Nominative
• A noun or pronoun that renames, identifies or
  explains the subject. (Only with LINKING Verbs)
• Ex The top student is Luke.

• Predicate Adjectives
• An adjective in the predicate part of the
  sentence that modifies the subject. (only with
  linking verbs)
• Ex The car was green and rusted.

Identify the subject and its complement. Then
label the object as a nominative or adjective.

• The 13 year old girl was strong and fast.
• The name of the town that was bombed is Dresden.
• The main character in the book, Anthem, is
  Equality.
• Christopher is a skinny man.
• I am so frustrated today!
