  Middle East, as defined by our control group of
  prominent geographers and a well known
  periodical.

• Method
• A questionnaire was distributed to several
  Grand Valley students in various classes both
  geographically orientated and non-geographic in
  focus.
• The survey consisted of two different prompts,
  a lined map and a cognitive recall list testing
  knowledge of the Middle East.
