  • Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain.
  • He was baptized Pablo Diego José Francisco de
    Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios
    Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso,
    but most people know him simply as Picasso.

  • Picassos father was a realistic painter who
    often portrayed birds or wild game in his work.
  • Realism is a technique in which the artist is
    true to life.
  • In his youth, Picasso also studied this form,
    moving into various mediums such as painting,
    sculpture, drawing and architecture.
