Final Lesson Evangelism
  • Why do evangelism?
  • Who does evangelism?
  • Who should we evangelize?
  • How do we reach out to others with the gospel?

Why? It is our commission
  •  Matthew 2819-20 -- Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I
commanded you and lo, I am with you balways,
even to the end of the age.

Why? It Is Gods Will
  • 2 Peter 39 -- The Lord is not slow about His
promise, as some count slowness, but is patient
toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for
    all to come to repentance.

1 Timothy 24
  • who desires all men to be saved and to come to
    the knowledge of the truth.

Why? We are obligated
  • 1 Corinthians 916-17 -- For if I preach the
gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am
under compulsion for woe is me if I do not
preach the gospel. For if I do this voluntarily,
I have a reward but if against my will, I have a
    stewardship entrusted to me.

Why? Compassion For The Lost
  • 1 Peter 417 --  For it is time for judgment to
begin with the household of God and if it begins
with us first, what will be the outcome for those
who do not obey the gospel of God?

2 Thessalonians 17-8
  • when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from
heavendealing out retribution to those who do
not know God and to those who do not obey the
    gospel of our Lord Jesus.

2 Corinthians 511
  • Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we
    persuade men.

Enthusiasm In The First Century
  • Acts 542 And every day, in the temple and
from house to house, they kept right on teaching
and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

Preaching Everywhere They Went
  • Acts 84 Therefore, those who had been
scattered went about preaching the word.

Viewed Evangelism As Beautiful
  • Romans 1015 -- How will they preach unless they
are sent? Just as it is written, How beautiful
are the feet of those who bring good news of good

Who Should We Reach?
  • The whole world
  • Matt. 513-16
  • Salt of the EARTH
  • Light of the WORLD

Notice The Ready Fields
  • John 435 -- Do you not say, There are yet four
months, and then comes the harvest? Behold, I
say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the
fields, that they are white for harvest.

Pray For God To Send Workers
  • Matthew 937-38 Then He said to His disciples,
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are
few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to
send out workers into His harvest.

What Are My Best Prospects?
  • People who know, respect and trust me.
  • Children, spouses, relatives, co-workers,
    neighbors, friends
  • Cold contacts newcomers, visitors, door
knocking, jail ministry, mass media outreach.

Steps To A Great Study

  • Be strong and courageous (Deuteronomy 31)
  • Dont be timid, hesitant or tentative in your
  • Focus on soul needs they are lost!
