Principle of Operation
  • Non Mixing Liquids separate based on their
    Density difference under gravity.
  • Rate of separation is dependent on the residence
    time provided and on the laminar nature of the
    flow.
  • Lower Density liquid floats on the top.
  • Higher density liquid settles down at the bottom.

  • Two different liquids to be separated.
  • Separation of two liquids to be continuous.
  • Advantages
  • Simple, easy and cost effective.
  • Best alternative to conventional skimmers like
    Belt/ Disc and Rope skimmers which require
    settling tanks.
  • Gravity operated and hence no electricity
    required.
  • Mobile unit A single unit can be used for a
    variety of applications.
  • No restriction on type of liquid used.
  • Used for all applications involving separation of
    two non miscible liquids with specific density
    difference.
