Spiritual Warfare
  • For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
    but against principalities, against powers,
    against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
    against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the
    heavenly places (Eph 612)
  • This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and
    fasting (Mark 929)

Fasting in the Coptic Church
  • The year is divided into three main sections
  • Strict Fasting Vegan Diet, morning abstinence
  • Great Lent, Wednesdays Fridays, Jonahs Fast
  • Fasting, Seafood Allowed
  • Nativity, Apostles, Virgin Mary
  • No Fasting
  • including 50 days following resurrection
