Bored pile developement
  • Why was bored pile system invented?
  • There are many type of bored piles
  • Have you seen them?
  • ..

3
Type of Bore piles
  • There are two types(Equipment)
  • Rotary, Non rotary
  • There are two types(Size)
  • Small, Large Diameter bored pile
  • There are two types(Process)
  • Dry Process, Wet Process

Material Quality (general)
  • Concrete
  • fcgt240 ksc. (cube)
  • Cement content gt 300 kg/concrete m3
  • Steel
  • Main SD-30, As gt 0.5 of total area
  • Stirrup SR-24 (single or spiral)gt 6 mm. _at_
    0.30m(Max.)

11
Process for Tripod
  • Pre bore depth 1.00-1.50 m. by boring tackle
  • Checking position, vertical line
  • Casing..Length 1.00-1.20 m. .gtgt Stable stratum
    (BKK clay 20.00-23.00 m.)
  • Boring ..casing and boring until required depth
  • Cleaning bored holeNo slump concrete and compact
  • Reinforcing steel install..
  • Pouring concrete.
  • Removing casing(details in class)
  • Checking..

12
Wet Process
  • From limitation of Dry process
  • Discuss Adv. Disadv.
  • Shape Circular, Rectangular (Barrette)
  • Thailand (BKK)
  • Up to 1500 T. in capacity
  • More than 60 m. in depth
  • Up to Ø 2.00 m.

Method statement (Drilling Rig)
  • Insert steel casing by hydraulic vibrator
  • Start drilling by auger until digged to sand
    layer
  • Add Bentonite slurry into the bore hole to
protect collapse of side of bore hole
  • Continue drilling by using Bucket under bentonite
slurry till reach to the require depth
  • Pull drill and insert rebar cage
  • Add Tremie and pouring concrete (details in
class) replaced sullry to Betonite plants
  • During place concrete and pull casing Complete
