    enemies
  • Philosophical conflict begins called The Cold
    War-State of tension and hostility among nations
    without armed conflict.
  • Nikita Khrushchev emerged as Soviet leader after
    Stalin, begins spreading communism to China
    Eastern Europe

  • Truman Doctrine policy stating United States
    would do anything to stop the spread of communism
    (containment)
  • Marshall Plan US gave money to help rebuild
    European economies after WWII (to prevent spread
    of communism)
