From Technician/Technologist Engineer
Challenges Opportunities
  • What are the Challenges?
  • Less talented school leavers taking up
    Engineering as a Career/Profession.
  • Existing Engineering graduates left the
    Profession.
  • More barriers for young engineers to become
    qualified engineers.

31
Case (1) From O-level failure to Top Chef
Source ST 23 December 2013
  • Mr Edmund Toh flunked his O-level exams in 1976,
    passing two of five subjects.
  • Today, the 53-year runs Singapores largest
banquet kitchen at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS),
heading a crew of 600 chefs and cooks.
