Equipment
  • When playing soocer a player is required to wear
a shirt, shorts (or pants), footwear, Head gear,
and shin guards. Head gear is wearied by some
players to protect themselves from head injuries,
but is not required. Soccer like many other
sports forbidden players wearing jewelry and any
other thing that can be dangerous or a safety
    hazard.

3
Rules
  • There are 17 laws in the official Laws of the
Game, each containing a collection of stipulation
and guidelines. The 17 Laws of the Game are 17
individual laws, each rules have several
    directions and rules.
  • Law 17 The Duration of the Match
  • When playing soccer a games length is 45 minutes
(time is reduced if there becomes insufficient
lighting) for two period and a half time
consisting of no more than 15 minutes.

material, must be no more than 70 cm and no less
than 68 cm, and must have the official FIFA
APPROVED logo the official FIFA INSPECTED logo
or the "INTERNATIONAL MATCHBALL STANDARD logo.
The ball must also be no more than 450g and no
less than 410 g. If a ball is burst during a game

Characteristics Of Soccer
  • Soccer (also known as football) is a sport played
between two teams with 11 players on each team.
  • Soccer is played on a rectangular field of grass
or green artificial turf, with a goal in the
middle of each of the short ends.
  • The point of the game is to score by driving the
ball into the opposing goal. In regular play, the
goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch
the ball with their hands or arms, while the
field players use their feet to kick the ball
into position, occasionally using their torso or
head to intercept a ball in midair. The team that
scores the most goals by the end of the match
    wins.

6
Characteristics Of Soccer
  • A soccer field layout consists of eight defined
areas. Each is clearly marked by soccer field
lines. A regulation soccer field measures 100
yards long by 60 yards wide.
  • The midfield line divides the field.
  • The center circle marks the area defenders must
stay out of during kickoff. The circle measures
    10 yards.
  • A penalty mark is where the penalty kick is
placed. The mark is 12 yards from the end line.
  • The touch lines mark the edge along the
sidelines. When a ball travels out of bounds over
the touch line, a throw-in takes place at that
    spot.
  • The corner kick circle is a one-yard circle where
a player puts the ball before a corner kick. Each
corner of the field has its own circle.
  • The goal area sits inside the penalty area. It
forms a small rectangle in the center of the
goal, and goal kicks are placed here. The goal
area is 20 yards wide by 7 yards deep.
  • The goal measure 24 feet wide by 8 feet high.

7
Characteristics Of Soccer
  • Soccer players who play in the field can jog,
sprint and run for most of 90 minutes. This means
that players are typically of muscular or lean
build and flexible enough to change direction
nearly 1,000 times in a regular game.

8
Compare (Outdoor Indoor Soccer)
  • When playing Outdoor indoor soccer the rules
are still the same. The only difference in
playing outdoor indoor soccer is the atmosphere
    and the amount of players.

9
Contrast (Outdoor Indoor Soccer)
  • Indoor soccer is played at a faster pace and has
    five to six players.
  • Outdoor soccer is played with eleven players.
  • Indoor soccer fields are smaller than outdoor
    soccer fields.
  • Outdoor soccer goals are freestanding, and indoor
soccer goals are usually installed into arena
    walls.
  • Outdoor soccer fields are marked with boundaries
and once a ball goes out a boundary it is a
considered out of boundaries. While playing
Indoor soccer the ball is usually kicked off the
    wall.
