Title: Historical Limericks (Irish)

Historical Limericks (Irish)
  • Limericks consist of five anapestic (two short
    syllables followed by a long one) lines.Lines 1,
    2, and 5 of Limericks have seven to ten syllables
    and rhyme with one another. Lines 3 and 4 of
    Limericks have five to seven syllables and also
    rhyme with each other.
  • Limericks often start with the line "There once
    was a..." or "There was a..."

  • A Haiku consist of three lines 1st line 5
    syllables 2nd line 7 syllables and third line 5
  • The lines do not have to rhyme, but convey an
    idea of the topic that is being reviewed.
  • Dont forget title
  • CP select one of each of two of each honors
    complete both on the same topic
  • Typed and will be presented
