Begging
  • Born- October 27th 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Parents Aurelia Schober and Otto Emil Plath.
  • In 1936 they moved to Winthrop, Massachusetts.
  • Her father sadly died in 1940 when she was only 8
    years old.
  • Plaths first poem was The Colossus and Other
    Poems, in 1960.

Middle
  • Attended Bradford High School.
  • Graduated in 1950 and received a full scholarship
    from Smith College.
  • Seventeen Magazine published her short story,
    And Summer Will Not Come Again.
  • The Christian Science Monitor published her poem,
    Bitter Strawberries.
  • August 24th she attempted to kill her self by
    over dosing on sleeping pills.
