JOINT WORKING
  • Neither party (SLCC or CDALC/CALC) are
  • Protectionists or
  • Jealous of their own boundaries
  • All parties have a common aim which is to
  • Break down barriers between clerks (SLCC) and
    councils (CDALC CALC) to ensure
    services/information etc are not delivered in
    isolation.

JOINT WORKING
  • Provide training and development opportunities
    for both clerks and councillors in combined
    sessions wherever possible.
  • Assist each other with practical advice and
    assistance to provide quality services for
    councils to benefit communities.

  • CDALC Officer is a
  • member of the SLCC
  • Branch Executive
  • and attends Branch
  • Meetings/Conferences
  • In County Durham we have a Coordination Group of
    Clerks (SLCC) and CDALC to deal with local issues
    arising for both clerks and councils.

  • Working together with the ethos of providing
    relevant timely information to councils and
    clerks alike.

COUNTY TRAINING PARTNERSHIP
  • Joint County Association/SLCC membership on the
    County Durham and Cleveland County Training
    Partnership
  • Joint discussions about training to be delivered
    and ways in which delivery is implemented.
  • County Association /SLCC representatives deliver
    training sessions either separately or together.
