• Traits found on sex chromosomes.
• 2 traits that are X-linked inheritance in humans
  are certain forms of color-blindness
  hemophilia.
• Hemophilia --- blood disorder where your blood
  doesnt clot.

• Whats a carrier?
• - A person who has one recessive allele for a
  trait and one dominant allele.

How to write sex linked traits

• The first thing you write is the sex of the
  person (XX females XY males)
• Then you attach the alleles to the X chromosome
  ONLY!!!
• For example --- if we have a female that is
  heterozygous you would write it
• XH Xh this means that she has the dominant
  trait, but she does carry the recessive allele.
• If we have a male that has the recessive trait,
  you write it
• Xh Y Notice, the allele is only on the X
  chromosome.

Determining Ones Gender

• Autosomes --- Non-sex chromosomes 22 pairs or 44
  individual chromosomes.
• 23rd pair --- Sex chromosomes determines gender.
  XX --- female XY --- male
