JCI Blue Sky Involve overview
  • What is Blue Sky Involve? Blue Sky Involve is a
    global employee driven program that encourages
    our employees to form volunteer groups that work
    with local organizations to support environmental
    stewardship and leadership development projects.
    Eligibility Employees applying for a Blue Sky
    Involve grant must meet the following eligibility
  • At least three employees must be involved with
    the project.
  • The project must support environmental
    sustainability or leadership development.
  • The project must be with a registered
    not-for-profit or educational institution.
  • The employees must be active volunteers.
  • How does it work?
  • Johnson Controls has more than 142,000 employees
    working at more than 1,000 locations worldwide.
    Employees submit applications for local projects
    that support environmental stewardship or
    leadership development. When a project is
  • the partner organization receives a grant of
    1,000 to complete the project. The Blue Sky
    Involve coordinators at the location then call on
    fellow Johnson Controls employees to help with
    the project.

JCI Blue Sky Involve 5Y growth 2010 program
In 2010, 14,500 employees participated in 930
Blue Sky Involve projects, donating more than
115,600 volunteer hours to their local
communities where they live and work around the
world. The goal is to grow participation every
year to provide even more philanthropic and
volunteer support for the regions where the
company has operations.
