Presidents
Day
Even though Presidents Day began as a way to
honor Presidents Washington and Lincoln, thats
not how it stayed.
11
As time went by, people in the United States
decided it was rather silly to honor only two of
our presidents on Presidents Day, when all of
our presidents are heroes, and all have
accomplished great things.
12
Today, Presidents Day is a federal holiday that
honors all our presidents, as it should. Counting
our current president, Barack Obama, there have
been 44 presidents of the United States.

Day

So whats this all mean?
  • We live in a great country where we find
    importance in honoring our heroes.
  • Monday Feb. 16th is Presidents Day, so you get
Friday and Monday off from school in honor and
remembrance of all Presidents who have served our
    country.
