    allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive

  • Used largely for audio files.
  • Podcasts can be audio or video.
  • Podcasting does not require a media player.

Discussion Boards or Forums
  • An online bulletin board where users can receive
    feedback from posted messages

  • Moderated

    netiquette rules
  • Unmoderated
  • No administrator or moderator, which may allow
    discussion to degenerate

Text Messaging
  • Sending short text messages to a device such as a
    cell phone or pager
  • Messages are no longer than a few hundred
    characters
  • Messaging that takes place between two or more
    mobile devices

  • The electronic exchange of messages and computer
    files between computers that are connected to the
    Internet or some other computer network.

TO Web address of addressee (sometimes

be kept short and to the point --intermix
short and longer sentences --avoid very long
sentence when possible --include a desired action
and a deadline for completion

    along with the email

  • Written form of communication and can be printed
    and viewed by anyone or used as official legal
    documentation.
  • Do not use All CAPS, which is considered
    shouting, or all lowercase
  • Do not spam readers with unnecessary information,
    jokes or frivolous materialit is not
    professional and may be a company violation and
    could be terminated.

  • Remember email is not confidential.
  • Check it daily and respond promptly.
  • Proofread and spell check- spelling errors reduce
    credibility.
