- An online bulletin board where users can receive
feedback from posted messages - Two types of discussion boards
- Moderated
- An administrator or moderator ensure the

netiquette rules - Unmoderated
- No administrator or moderator, which may allow
discussion to degenerate

- Sending short text messages to a device such as a
cell phone or pager - Messages are no longer than a few hundred
characters - Messaging that takes place between two or more
mobile devices

Internet or some other computer network.

contains a request for action --sentences should
be kept short and to the point --intermix
short and longer sentences --avoid very long
sentence when possible --include a desired action
and a deadline for completion

documentation. - Do not use All CAPS, which is considered
shouting, or all lowercase - Do not spam readers with unnecessary information,
jokes or frivolous materialit is not
professional and may be a company violation and
could be terminated.
16E-Mail Etiquette
- Remember email is not confidential.
- Check it daily and respond promptly.
- Proofread and spell check- spelling errors reduce
credibility.
