STEM Projects in the Classroom

• N-Vision A Brighter Future Grant Program for
  STEM, Westinghouse Electrical Co

• Funding for a hands-on project dealing with STEM
• Technology equipment is an allowable expense if
  it is one component of a well-planned project,
  integrated with other curriculum materials and
  activities.
• Three schools will receive 1,000 to complete
  their project and an additional 2,000 for other
  science department needs
• Any U.S. elementary, middle or high school can
  apply
• Applications due online by November 14, 2014

• Grades K-5 Grants
• Up to 1,000
• Deadline October 1
• Grades 6-12 Grants
• Two levels Up to 5,000 or more than 5,000
• Rolling deadline for requests of up to 5,000
• Requests over 5,000 are due February 1st and
  August 1st of each year

• Grants of up to 10,000 to teams of high school
  students, teachers, and mentors who invent
  technological solutions to real-world problems
• Science, math, and technology educators in high
  school are eligible to apply.
• Applications due in February.

• Funding priority is youth education, specifically
  in the area of STEM
• Imaginative, creative, youthful, forward
  thinking, scientific, humanistic and innovative

• Grant awards range from 20,000 to 75,000 over a
  one year period
